This policy sets out what personal information Cib Label collects, how that information is used, who it is disclosed to, and the choices available to you. It applies to your use of this website and to any purchase made from us.

Who We Are

Cib Label Pty Ltd (ACN 697 586 075, ABN 96 697 586 075) is an Australian clothing brand. Our registered office is SE1, 53 Banksia Rd, Caringbah NSW 2229, Australia. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, including your name, email address, shipping address and phone number, when you subscribe to our mailing list, create an account, contact us by chat or email, or place an order. We also receive transaction information from Shopify, including the items purchased, the date of purchase and the order total, and usage information collected automatically through cookies and tracking pixels, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages and products you view.

We do not hold your full payment card details. Card details are processed and held by Shopify Payments, PayPal or Afterpay, being the payment provider you select at checkout. We receive only limited payment information, such as the card type and the last four digits, as required to manage orders and refunds.

Where you use our website chat, the conversation and any details provided in it, including your name, contact details and order information, are recorded and processed so that we can respond to your enquiry and provide support.

How Your Information Is Used

We use personal information to fulfil orders, administer returns and refunds, communicate with you about your purchase, send marketing communications where you have opted in, respond to enquiries, meet our accounting and tax obligations, and operate and improve our store. We do not use your personal information for any purpose that is unrelated to those set out in this policy.

Email and SMS Marketing

Where you subscribe through our website or at checkout, or opt in through our website chat, we collect your name, email address and, if provided, your phone number, in order to send marketing communications about our products, offers and news. These communications are managed through Klaviyo, which also processes engagement data such as email opens and clicks. Marketing is sent only to individuals who have consented to receive it, and we comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Who Your Information Is Shared With

We disclose personal information to the service providers listed below, in each case only to the extent required for the purpose stated. The country stated is where that provider stores and processes the information.

Shopify. Store platform, hosting, checkout, customer accounts and the Shop app, together with Shopify's own Flow, Search & Discovery, Translate & Adapt and Order Printer tools. Receives your account details, order details and website activity. Canada and the United States.
Shopify Payments. Payment processing. Receives your payment and billing details. Canada and the United States.
PayPal. Payment processing, where selected at checkout. Receives your payment and billing details. United States.
Afterpay. Payment processing and on-site instalment messaging. Receives your payment and billing details. Australia and the United States.
Australia Post. Delivery and tracking. Receives your name, delivery address, email address and phone number. Australia.
Starshipit (ShipIT Limited). Shipping labels and tracking notifications. Receives your name, delivery address, email address and phone number. New Zealand.
Our third party fulfilment provider in Melbourne. Picking, packing and dispatch. Receives your name, delivery address, contact details and the contents of your order. Australia.
Klaviyo. Email and SMS marketing, and product reviews. Receives your name, email address, phone number where provided, purchase history, review content and how you engage with our messages. United States.
Meta Platforms. Advertising and measurement, as set out under Cookies and Tracking Pixels below. United States.
Google. Advertising and website analytics, as set out under Cookies and Tracking Pixels below, web fonts, and address autocomplete. Where you enter an address in your account, the text you type into the address field is sent to Google Maps Platform in order to return address suggestions. United States.
BestChat (Bitcloud Technology Inc.), operator of SmartBot. Our website chat. Receives your name, contact details, order details and the content of your enquiry. Canada.
Anthropic. Artificial intelligence tools used in the administration of our store and in the building and maintenance of this website, including responding to enquiries and processing orders and returns, connected to our store through the Shopify Claude Connector App. Receives your name, contact details and order details. Cloudflare. Hosting for the systems we operate ourselves, being our returns form, our discount code service and account sign-in. Receives your name, email address, order details and return details. United States.
Artos Software, operator of STOQ. Back in stock and pre-order notifications. Receives your email address and the product you asked to be notified about. United Kingdom.
Mintt Studio, operator of Instafeed. Displays our Instagram feed on the website. Receives your IP address when that content loads. United States.
Adobe. Web fonts. Receives your IP address when a page loads. United States.
Xero. Accounting and taxation records. Receives your name and transaction details. Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Each provider handles personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Where we add or change a provider, this list will be updated.

Cookies and Tracking Pixels

This website uses cookies and tracking pixels.

Essential cookies are required for the website to operate. They maintain your cart, record your selected region and enable checkout. They cannot be disabled, as the store will not function without them.

Optional cookies and tracking pixels are used to measure how the website is used and to deliver and measure advertising. When active, they collect your device and browser details, your IP address, the pages and products you view, the items you add to your cart, and the items you purchase, and they disclose that information to the following parties.

Meta Platforms, operator of Facebook and Instagram. We operate the Meta pixel to measure our advertising and to deliver our advertising to you.
Google. We operate Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to measure website usage and advertising performance.
Klaviyo, our email and SMS provider, to identify subscribers and to tailor the communications sent to them.
Shopify, our store platform, which sets essential cookies and provides its own analytics.

A cookie banner is presented on your first visit. Where consent is declined, optional cookies and tracking pixels are not loaded in your browser and no information is disclosed to Meta Platforms or Google as a result of that visit. Declining does not restrict your ability to purchase from us. You may change your election at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, and you may block cookies through your browser settings.

Separately from your browser, Shopify transmits information about orders and website events to us and to Meta Platforms from its own servers for the purpose of advertising measurement. That transmission is not governed by the cookie banner. To opt out of it, use our Your Privacy Choices page or email hello@ciblabel.com, and your request will be processed.

Your Consent

Consent is obtained expressly. It is not inferred from your use of this website.

Orders. Information provided when placing an order is used to fulfil that order.
Marketing. Marketing communications are sent only to individuals who have opted in, and may be declined at any time.
Tracking. Optional cookies and tracking pixels are used only where consent is given through the cookie banner.

We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary to operate our store, and use it only for the purposes set out in this policy. You may withdraw consent, or request that a particular use ceases, at any time by emailing hello@ciblabel.com.

Automated Decisions

We do not use computer programs to make decisions about you. Decisions affecting you are made by a person.

Returns. Our returns form populates your order details from our store records. You select the items being returned, the reason, and whether you are seeking a refund or store credit. No return is approved automatically. Each return is unpacked and inspected by a person, and the outcome is determined by a person.
Website chat. Our website chat is answered by SmartBot, an automated assistant. It responds to enquiries, and where you give it your order number it retrieves that order's details from our store in order to answer you. Conversations are recorded and we are able to review them. It does not determine any matter concerning your order, refund or account, and it cannot pass your enquiry to a person. To reach a person, email hello@ciblabel.com.

We do not use your personal information to profile you for credit, employment, insurance or any comparable decision.

Artificial Intelligence

We use artificial intelligence tools in the operation of our store. This section sets out where they are used and what they can access.

Website chat. Our chat is answered by SmartBot, supplied by BestChat. It receives the content of your enquiry and any details you provide in the conversation, including your name and contact details. Where you give it your order number, it retrieves that order's details from our store in order to answer you.
Store administration and website development. We use artificial intelligence tools supplied by Anthropic, connected to our store through the Shopify Claude Connector App, to assist us in administering the store, building and maintaining this website, responding to enquiries, and processing orders and returns. These tools can access the customer and order records held in our store.

These tools assist us. They do not determine any matter that affects you. Decisions concerning your order, your return, any refund and any store credit are made by a person, as set out under Automated Decisions above.

Age Restriction

Our website and services are available only to persons aged 18 years and over. By using our website, subscribing, or placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, retain or disclose personal information of any person under 18. Where such information has been provided to us without our knowledge, contact hello@ciblabel.com and it will be removed from the systems we control.

Limits of What We Hold and What We Can Do

We have access only to personal information held within systems we directly control. Information held by our service providers is subject to their own privacy practices and retention periods, and any request concerning that information must be made to the provider directly. Financial and transaction records are retained for a minimum of five years in order to meet Australian taxation obligations and cannot be deleted on request.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and request its correction where it is inaccurate or out of date, by emailing hello@ciblabel.com. Complaints concerning the handling of personal information may be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Security

We rely on the security measures of the platforms we use and take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is entirely secure, and we do not warrant absolute security.

International Transfers

The country in which each provider stores and processes personal information is stated against that provider under Who Your Information Is Shared With above. Personal information is disclosed to recipients in Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We cannot control the operation of foreign law upon those recipients.

Changes

This policy may be amended from time to time. The version published on our website is the current version and states the date on which it was last updated.
